"Rejection" is a word no transplant recipient ever wants to hear. Transplant rejection occurs when transplanted tissue is rejected by a person's own immune system. There are two types of rejection : acute and chronic; these are the number one cause of failed lungs after transplantation. Celebrating my one year breathday has brought many emotions of thankfulness. Statistics show about 80% of recipients survive the first year after lung transplants. This week I have been engulfed in many tests and procedures to ensure my lungs are healthy with no signs of rejection. As we wait for these results we lovingly honor all our cystas and fibros whom battle their own transplant issues. These jackets were made to glorify those who struggle in all of lives rollercoasters.

All orders are produced and shipped by Caleigh and her family themselves. As a recent double-lung transplant recipient things can be busy, but rest assured all orders will be packaged and delivered as soon as possible. Please be patient and we thank you for understanding in advance. If this is a gift or needs to be received for a special event please contact us at caleigh@fight2breathe.org.
